What do you Know?
It's good to ponder on these thought provoking questions: what do you know that you were not taught?, what can you do by your own strength? and what do you have that is not a gift? So if all that you know, all that you can do and all that you have is by the Grace of God then what do you have to boast about? We came with nothing and whatever we claim to own is only on loan to you for a while and soon you will take nothing with you when the time is there.....Therefore all the glory belongs to the Lord and in Him alone we should glory as without Him, we can do nothing. Scripture says everything will pass away .... nothing remains the same except love... for we now only know and see in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect will disappear and seeing Him face to face we shall fully know even as we are fully known. God is love as He first loved us therefore let us love one another as God has loved us for there is no greater love than laying down one's life for a friend.... The only debt that we owe is the debt of love... to love God as He first loved us unconditionally and each other because we are not worthy of what He did out of love for you/me/us...
Finally one more food for thought: what else could Jesus have done that He did not do for you/me/us?........

The lump of clay in the hands of the Potter
Have you ever seen a potter at work? The prophet Jeremiah was sent to the Potter's workshop where he came face to face with the work of the Potter. He saw how the Potter handled the clay, how he started re-moulding the clay afresh whenever he was not satisfied with the outcome of his work until he finally arrived at what he wanted. In the same way, God as the sovereign Lord of all creation, has the absolute right to handle, mould and remould each one of us as He wills. "....can't I do with you what this potter does? As clay in the potter's hand so are you in my hands" Jer. 18:6. The clay therefore cannot dictate to the potter, it can be beaten/soften to become pliable as the Potter knows what he wants to make out of each lump of clay. He is very patient till he is satisfied with his work..... come to think of it, God has a plan for you and me.....He is the Potter and we are the clay, the work of His capable Hands, He alone can mould and fashion us into the image of Jesus His Son. It's good to know and accept that God is still busy with me as He can see all the flaws in me, therefore there is hope not to give up on myself or the other one.
Total surrender is required to yield to His Will.... Lord do with me as you will, not my will but Yours.......
